THE FINALE
on NATIONAL PAWNBROKERS DAY
Alas, we knew the day was sure to come, but that doesn’t make it any easier to accept…
This Saturday has to be the FINAL party at ALL NITE PAWN, before we must depart this weird, magical little place.
Now we KNOW that this may seem like ‘the boys who cried ‘closing down sale!’’… but this time - we reassure you that it’s real.
And, as fortune would have it… it lands on the real, National Pawnbroker Association’s (NPA):
**********NATIONAL PAWNBROKER DAY 2025 ***********
A sacred date in the pawnbrokers’ calendar. A high holiday. A spiritual moment…. A tax write-off. Every year on 6th December, whilst many are counting pennies, in the pawn industry - business is booming.
They finish cashing up after a busy week behind the counter, lock up their shutters, and - surrounded by piles of pawned gold, diamonds, and stacks of cash, they unbutton their shirt collars, loosen their Windsor knots, and celebrate their booming Q4 performance in style.
It’s a frankly debaucherous scene… A room full of pawnbrokers wearing m paper crowns at their office Christmas party, double-parked on prosecco, comparing Rolexes, and lighting cigars with crisp fifties… whilst a PowerPoint titled “Q4 Profit From Nanna’s Jewellery” is still showing on someone’s computer monitor.

Anyway… this is our version of that. The last hurrah. The last dance. The final time we switch off the disco ball.
Expect:
• Dusty, 30 year old Christmas decorations
• Tinsel hung with the love & emotional energy of a regional office party
• Business attire
Along with:
• A soundtrack provided by a lineup of truly PRICELESS selectors
• A community send-off worthy of the former pawn shop in the Stretford ARNDALE that we converted in to a much dodgier looking pawn shop in the Stretford Arndale, (but with good music).
There MAY even be a surprise twist to the night. Stick with us.
Stretford, it’s been an honour.

Nite School Radio is a hyper-local broadcast platform and creative studio concept based in Stretford Mall’s empty pawnbrokers unit.
The station mixes radio and video to spotlight local artists, DJs, community voices and small businesses — with an ambition to tour different spaces across the town and grow into a creative infrastructure for Stretford.
how to find us
Metro:
Closest station is: Stretford > use Google maps (search Stretford Jobcentre). Turn right down the alley next to the Jobcentre & keep following the black fence on your left. The entrance to The Pawnbrokers is then about 20 meters on your right (black door).
Uber:
Add Stretford Jobcentre into Uber. When you arrive, turn right down the alley next to the Jobcentre & keep following the black fence on your left. The entrance to The Pawnbrokers is then about 20 meters on your right (black door).
