By mid-summer, word had begun to spread.

All Nite Pawn had begun to operate a late nite exchange on a regular basis.

On this occasion, a good friend and external specialist was brought in.

Hammer made the journey down from Glasgow for a look at our wares and a turn behind the counter…, alongside Nite School residents and dazzling local valuables...

The Brokers

The format remained unchanged:... music, a small room, DJs behind the counter with The Brokers.

Hammer was selected as he is involved with music education projects up in Glasgow, where he currently resides.

Previously associated with larger, more conventional environments…...

For one night, The Brokers situated him in a ‘functioning’ pawnbrokers inside Stretford Mall.

Capacity as always, was limited.

Conditions: very warm.

Visibility: hazy.

The traditional pawnbroker’s system of value exchange seemed to still be in place.
