Saturday March 28th at Metro Sports and Social Club, Stretford | The StretFest
10:00 – 12:00
DJ WORKSHOP with Skippy (Nite School Resident) + Open Decks Session
As part of our full day takeover at StretFest, we’re hosting a special Nite School DJ workshop, led by resident Skippy (Phoebe).
This is a beginner-friendly, hands-on session aimed at anyone curious about DJing or looking to build confidence on the decks. Whether you’ve never touched equipment before or just want some guidance in a relaxed setting, this is a space to learn, ask questions, and have a go.
We’ll cover the basics of DJing, from navigating CDJs and understanding track structure, to simple mixing techniques and how to build a flow. There’ll be time to get stuck in yourself, with support throughout.
The session will be run on full club-standard equipment, including CDJ-3000s and an A9 mixer, the same setup you’d find in most professional DJ booths. It’s a chance to get comfortable on the kind of gear you’d actually play on in a club.
Following the workshop, we’ll open things up for a one-hour open decks session. A chance to put things into practice, play a few tracks, or just get a feel for the setup in a low-pressure environment.
Pay what you can.
Suggested contributions £3–£10.
No one turned away for lack of funds.
Equipment provided with the kind support of AlphaTheta.
VERY Limited capacity. Advance ticket reservation strongly recommended.
