As part of Nite School Presents Metro’s Sports and Social Club, we’re hosting a very small-group, hands-on DJ workshop led by Nite School resident Skippy.
This is a beginner-friendly session for anyone curious about DJing, learning to mix, or building a bit more confidence on the decks. Whether you’ve never touched DJ equipment before or you’ve had a go before and are looking for some guidance, this is a relaxed space to learn, ask questions and get stuck in.
Across the 2-hour workshop, Skippy will guide you through the basics of DJing, including understanding track structure, cueing, beatmatching, simple mixing techniques and how to start building a flow between tracks.
There are fewer than 10 places available, with individual practice stations provided for each attendee. That means everyone gets proper hands-on time with the equipment, rather than just watching from the sidelines.
No experience needed. Just bring your headphones (wired headphones strongly recommended)
The workshop takes place before the full Nite School Presents Metro’s Sports and Social Club event continues across the day and night, with music, dancing, food, lawn bowls, workshops and more, with DJs (including Skippy herself!); Fantastic Man, Craigie Knowes, James Holroyd, Fastlove, The Brokers, DJ Polly, Roisin and many more.
Equipment provided with the kind support of AlphaTheta.
Very limited capacity. Advance booking strongly recommended.
